Notes in categories
Every note you type or speak lands in a category — Thoughts, To-do, Ideas, Journal, Work, or your own. Copy or share it anywhere.
Make it yours
Fresh, Spice, Sky, Light, Night or Chrome — or your own photo as the background.

How does Inkstreak count the words I type?
On iPhone and iPad you switch to the Inkstreak keyboard, which works in every app. It adds up words and characters as you type. On Mac, Inkstreak sits in the menu bar and counts typing in every app once you allow Input Monitoring.
Does Inkstreak read or save what I type?
No. The keyboard only adds up two numbers per day: words and characters. It never saves, reads back or sends your text, and password fields always switch to Apple's keyboard.
Can I count words I speak, too?
Yes. Say “Hey Siri, type in Inkstreak” or press the Action Button. Your speech becomes text on your iPhone, is saved as a voice note, and the words count toward your daily total.
Is there a Lock Screen widget?
Yes. Add the Inkstreak widget to your Home Screen or Lock Screen to see your words today, your streak and your own reason to write every time you pick up your phone.
Does it work across iPhone, iPad and Mac?
Yes. Each device adds its daily totals to your iCloud account, and every device shows the combined numbers. Only numbers sync, never text.
How much does Inkstreak cost?
Everything starts with a 7-day free trial. After that it's $5.99 a month or $49.99 a year (prices vary by country). One subscription covers your iPhone, iPad and Mac. Cancel anytime in Settings › your name › Subscriptions before the trial ends and you pay nothing.
What happens if I cancel?
The keyboard keeps working as a normal keyboard, but counting pauses. Your notes stay yours — you can still open, copy and export them.
Can I keep a streak with friends?
Yes. In Stats › Streak buddies, tap Invite a friend and send the link. You'll see each other's streak and words today — never your notes. It works through iCloud, so there's no account to make.
What is a writing streak?
Your streak is the number of days in a row you've written something. Write at least one word today to keep it going.
What do I need?
An iPhone or iPad with iOS 26 or later, and optionally a Mac with macOS 14 or later.
