Short version: Inkstreak doesn't collect your data. There's no account, no server, no ads and no analytics. What you write stays on your iPhone.
What stays on your iPhone
Notes you save (typed or spoken), their folders and headlines, and your daily word and character counts. Notes are not uploaded anywhere and don't sync between devices. You can export them at any time from Setup or Notes.
The Inkstreak keyboard
The keyboard only adds up how many words and characters you type each day. It never stores, reads back or sends what you type, and it makes no network requests. Word suggestions are worked out on your iPhone and forgotten right away. Password fields always switch to Apple's keyboard. “Full Access” is used only to pass the two daily numbers to the Inkstreak app.
Voice notes
Your speech is turned into text on your iPhone by Apple's speech recognition. The audio isn't kept, and the microphone is used only while you record. On iOS 18–25 you can turn on an optional “More accurate voice-to-text” setting; only then is your audio sent to Apple's speech recognition service to be turned into text, under Apple's privacy policy. It never comes to us.
iCloud sync
Daily totals (numbers only, never text) sync between your own devices through your iCloud account.
Streak buddies
If you invite a friend, Inkstreak shares a name and emoji you choose, your streak length and today's word count with people who open your link — never your notes or anything you type. It's stored in your own iCloud and shared through Apple's iCloud sharing; we never receive it. You can stop sharing anytime in Setup › Streak buddies.
Subscriptions
Purchases and free trials are handled by Apple through your Apple Account. We never see your name, email or payment details.
Analytics, ads and tracking
None. Inkstreak contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code.
Children
Inkstreak doesn't knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.
Deleting your data
Delete notes in the app (they stay in Notes › Deleted for 30 days), or delete the app to remove everything on your iPhone. Stop buddy sharing in Setup › Streak buddies.
