Scan
Scan like a document scanner
Point your iPhone at the page. It finds the edges, flattens the page and reads it, several pages at a time. Or pick photos you've already taken.
- Counted on your iPhone with Apple's own text recognition
- Works on neat handwriting and print; very messy pages may count low
- Each page shows its own word count

Private
Your pages stay yours
Inkstreak keeps the photos and the count, not the text, unless you turn on “Keep the text” to make your pages searchable.
- Nothing is uploaded, not even to Apple
- Pages saved with the note, in your folder
- Share or export the photos anytime

Habit
A streak for your paper journal
Scanned words count toward your day, next to anything you type or say. Morning pages, bullet journals, gratitude lists: they all count.
- Prompts for when you don't know what to write
- Streak buddies to keep each other going

Questions
How accurate is the word count?
Very good on printed text and neat handwriting, good on everyday handwriting, and lower on very messy cursive. A misread word still counts as a word, so the total is usually close.
Which languages can it read?
Handwriting works best in English and other languages using the Latin alphabet. Other scripts, including Hindi, are limited for now.
Does it save my words?
Only if you choose. By default Inkstreak saves the page photos and the count. Turn on “Keep the text” if you want to search your handwritten pages.
Is anything uploaded?
No. The pages are read on your iPhone with Apple's built-in text recognition. Nothing goes to us or anyone else.
